A Little More About Me My Family
I’m a financial advisor, podcaster, and speaker, but the titles I’m most proud of are husband to my beautiful wife Emily and father to two amazing children, Jackson and Juliette.
In 2016 my life drastically changed when, at just two years old, Jackson was diagnosed with severe autism. Through that incredible journey, I’ve learned to value different ways of thinking and living. Where most people welcome normal or the status quo, I’ve learned to embrace different. For that and so much more, I will forever be grateful and humbled that God gifted us Jackson, who is perfect as he is.
The Start of my Journey
During my time as Chief Marketing Officer at an IMO, I visited dozens of advisors offices all across the country, and I noticed that the conversations we had in their offices or homes were different than the ones we had at our IMO headquarters or events we hosted. “Advisors opened up to me and expressed concerns, goals, and desires in a way they “wouldn’t” have if I wasn’t in their environment. I found that if I just truly listened, not with my “CMO” hat, ready to overcome objections, but as a friend or colleague, advisors had a lot to say, and if I were going to be a successful CMO, I had a lot to learn “from them“. Those conversations shaped the way I led my marketing team and continue to drive the way I work with advisors today.
In 2024, after 15 years in the IMO space, I resigned to become a financial advisor, “and” quickly realized how much I “had” missed what I had spent years becoming great at, working with financial advisors. That’s why I launched Beyond The IMO™ to create a transparent, advisor first platform where financial professionals can go to learn and have their perspectives challenged by other industry leaders.
