This Privacy Policy explains how Beyond The IMO (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit beyondtheimo.com or interact with our content, podcast, downloads, or coaching services.

What we collect
Information you give us. When you contact us, request a download, book a strategy conversation, or send us an email, you may provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, the IMO you currently work with, and the message or question you submit. We collect this directly from you and only what you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our analytics tools collect standard web data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the pages you visit, how long you stay, the site that referred you, and general geographic location at the country and region level. This data is not personally identifying on its own.
Cookies and similar technologies. The site uses cookies for analytics, basic site functionality, and to remember preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to respond to your inquiries and provide the content, tools, or coaching you have requested. We use it to send occasional emails about new podcast episodes, blog posts, or resources, but only if you have signed up to receive them. We use it to understand which content advisors find most useful so we can build more of it. We use it to keep the site secure and to comply with applicable law.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it to advertisers. We do not provide it to IMOs, insurance carriers, or any third party for marketing purposes.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the third-party services we use to operate the site and our business. These currently include the following.
Google Analytics and Google Search Console, which provide aggregated traffic data and search performance information. Google’s own privacy policy applies to data collected through these services. You can review it at policies.google.com/privacy.
Captivate.fm, which hosts and distributes our podcast. If you subscribe to the podcast through their player or download episodes from our site, Captivate’s privacy policy applies. You can review it at captivate.fm/privacy.
Our email and customer service platforms, which store contact information for people who reach out to us directly or sign up for our communications.
Our hosting and security providers, which store the data necessary to run the website and protect it from malicious traffic.
We share information with these providers only as needed to operate the services you have requested. We do not authorize them to use your information for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information when we are legally required to do so, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other lawful request from a government authority.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing justin@beyondtheimo.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and verify your identity before making changes.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking site-wide by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How long we keep your information
We keep contact information and inquiry history for as long as you remain an active subscriber, client, or active correspondent. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so unless we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or audit reasons.
Analytics data is retained according to Google’s default settings, which is currently 14 months for event-level data unless we change that setting.
Children’s privacy
This site is intended for adult financial professionals and the people they serve. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that information transmitted over the internet will always be protected from unauthorized access. By using this site, you acknowledge this inherent risk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our services or applicable laws change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the site or through email to active subscribers.
